There's nothing better than planning a trip to Europe so why not immerse yourself in a cultural experience at the same time?  Take advantage of attending one of these fun festivals in Europe during 2013 and you'll be sure of creating vacation memories that will last a lifetime ;)

Scotland

2013 is the Year of Natural Scotland so no matter when you plan to travel, you'll be able to incorporate an event into your schedule - highlighted festivals include: 
  • Glasgow Film Festival, February 14 to 24
  • Inverness Half Marathon, March 17
  • Dumfries & Galloway Wild Spring Festival, March 29 to April 14
  • Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival, May 2 to 6

Austria

Iceland

Germany

This culture rich country has so much to offer including national parks, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and miles & miles of cycling routes through the picturesque vineyards and beyond.  I'm a big fan of the NBC television show, Grimm, and since it's the Brothers Grimm 200th anniversary, Germany is ready to celebrate countrywide:

Spain

If you're looking for the best time of year to visit Spain, go during the Holy Week Easter celebrations when the entire country comes out in full force.  One of the top cities to enjoy the festivities is in Seville ;)

  • Fallas de San Jose, March 14 to 19

Ireland

Ireland is a land steeped in history and natural beauty.  Besides St. Patrick's Day celebrations throughout the country on March 17, The Gathering is a year-round celebration showcasing culture, traditions, sports and of course, fun.
