Held in Harbin, Heilongjiang, China, since 1985, the 29th Annual Harbin International Ice & Snow Festival had its opening ceremony on January 5, 2013.
A cultural extravaganza of events & activities for the whole family to enjoy, the Harbin Ice & Snow Festival combines art, sports, entertainment and exhibits through to February 2013.  Highlights include the spectacular snow sculptures on display at Sun Island Park, Ice and Snow World, Ice Lanterns at Zhaolin Park, along with special events being held at St. Sophia Cathedral, Harbin Polarland, and Harbin Siberian Tiger Park


Admission prices for the Harbin Ice & Snow Festival vary from the time of day to the venues chosen but generally they run from free for children 1.2 meters (4 feet) tall and under, free for seniors 70 and older, with adult prices starting at CNY 150 (USD $24) and CNY 120 (USD $19) for children.
